2-in-1 Comfort

A category of one, and nobody else is in it.

The opportunity

The travel pillow solved one third of the problem.

It holds the head. Shoulders, arms and lap stay cold, and the buyer has been reaching for a second object to fix that ever since.

01

The category competes on fill, not form

Memory foam, microbeads, inflatables. The shape underneath has been the same for decades, which is exactly where a protected position becomes possible.

02

Two products, one shelf facing

The wrap lives inside the pillow rather than clipping onto it. The buyer stocks one item and answers two customer needs with it.

03

The demand is not only in travel retail

Cold seating is a condition, not a destination. It occurs in treatment rooms, vehicles and offices as reliably as it does in an aircraft cabin.

Story & mission

It started on a flight home to New York.

Airports were beginning to reopen. On that flight, Anika Thompson found herself unusually cold, which was strange, because being cold on a plane had never really bothered her before.

I wish I had a shawl attached to my neck pillow.

She could have asked for a blanket. She wanted something else: something cozy, something warm, something she could keep and use again and again. The patent application followed, filed before a single unit was made.

The second discovery came from a friend, not the drawing board. She said she wished Schneck had existed while her mother was going through chemotherapy, because the treatment room was always so cool. The cold seat is not a travel problem, and that is a far larger position than the one this started in.

The mission

Warmth that travels with you

Not a blanket left at home and not a coat carried in your arms. One object that goes where you sit, whatever that seat happens to be.

The long view

One form, more than one product

The protected form is the platform. A version for children is already asked for, and sizing and material variants follow the same claim.

Why it holds

Protection before production

The application is in ahead of manufacture, so the position is staked before the first order is placed rather than after a competitor appears.

Markets

Four buyers, one product.

Each of these reaches a different distributor and a different shelf. None of them requires a change to the product.

Segment 01

Travel retail

Air, rail, coach and cruise. The category the buyer already understands, and the shelf the product walks straight onto.

The product

What makes it hard to copy.

Four decisions, each of which a competitor would have to design around rather than copy.

The shawl drawn out from the pillow

The wrap lives inside the pillow

Not an accessory clipped to a pillow. The shawl is stored within the form itself and drawn out in one motion. That is the part a competitor has to design around rather than copy.

Either half works alone

Pillow on its own, wrap on its own, or both together.

Anchored, not draped

It fastens at the neck and stays set, leaving the hands free.

Where we are

Built in the right order.

Protection first, then brand, then manufacture. Partners coming in now shape the range they will sell rather than inherit it.

Stage 01 · Complete

Patent filed

The application is filed and pending, so the position is staked before the first unit is made.

Stage 02 · Current

Brand & sourcing

Identity and digital infrastructure are built. Technical drawings are out to factories for quotation.

Stage 03 · Next

Prototype

Physical samples to confirm the form, the fastening and the fabric before tooling is committed.

Stage 04 · Then

First run

Production and allocation to launch partners.

Why partner with us

Three ways in, depending on what you build.

The design is settled, the brand is built and sourcing is underway. Terms are open now, which means they are agreed with you rather than handed to you later.

Track 01

Investors

A patent-pending design, four addressable segments and no regulatory pathway to clear.

Track 02

Wholesale & Retail

A product that explains itself on a shelf, in a category the buyer already stocks.

  • One item to stock, two customer needs answered

  • Nothing to demonstrate and no staff training
  • Launch allocation open to early stockists

Track 03

Distributors

A protected, compliance-light product ready to be positioned per territory.

  • Patent pending, so the line stays defensible as it scales
  • Medical and automotive channels still unassigned
  • Sourcing already underway with factory drawings issued
  • Territory conversations open before the first run
Discuss territory

The demand, in their words.

I used to travel with a pillow and a blanket and always ended up carrying one of them in my arms. This is one thing. That sounds small until you're at a gate with both hands full.

Marisa L.Long-haul travel

My husband sets the air conditioning and I stopped arguing about it years ago. Now I just pull the wrap out somewhere past the second hour and he doesn't even notice.

A. WhitcombRoad trips

Appointments run long and those rooms are always freezing. Having something that stays on my shoulders while I read or use my phone has made the waiting a lot easier.
